Organizational Structure
Bay Localize is building a broad network of stakeholders, including academics, researchers, nonprofits, business leaders, policymakers, students (college and high school), and volunteers to forward the localization agenda in our region. The organization is structured as a collaborative with an active Steering Committee, Board of Advisors, Consultative Advisors, and set of Project Teams.
Organizational Structure:
- Steering Committee – Comprised of the key "drivers" of the organization's ongoing project work, finances, and outreach activities. These individuals meet 1-2 times per month to determine program priorities, manage the budget, set fundraising goals, and conduct long-term strategic planning for the organization's success.
» Steering Committee member profiles - Board of Advisors – Comprised of academics, organizers, and experts in the fields of sustainability, economics, and equitable community development. Board members serve as key strategic advisors for Bay Localize and meet two times per year to provide input into the organization's overall programmatic work and general direction.
» Board of Advisors member list - Consultative Advisors – Comprised of key thinkers, experts, luminaries, and supporters of the organization. These individuals offer as-needed input on everything from "big picture" aspects of our work to expert advice on specific localization issues.
» Advisory Board member list - Project Teams – Comprised of lead organizers, consultants, and community members who are engaged in specific projects that advance the localization agenda. Bay Localize currently has two key initiatives, the Local Clean Energy Campaign and the Rooftop Resources Project.
